The space

Villa Capra was built for tribes: three-generation families, groups of friends, the reunion you have been postponing for years. Everything is designed so everyone gets privacy, and everyone actually enjoys coming back together.

The heart of the house is a bright open-plan living space with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for 12, and a lounge with an ethanol fireplace and library. Air conditioning runs throughout the villa.

Outdoors

The Mediterranean garden, designed by an award-winning landscape architect, slopes down to the showpiece: a heated beach-entry pool, just like walking into the sea. No steps, no ladder, just a gentle slope. Toddlers paddle and play safely where they can stand, grown-ups sunbathe lying in a few centimetres of water, and the 1.40 m maximum depth puts parents at ease, free at last to finish a book by the water. Shaded terraces, barbecue, long outdoor dining tables and panoramic views over the Luberon and the Alpilles from sunrise to sunset.

The area

Cabrières-d'Avignon is an authentic golden-triangle village, away from the crowds yet minutes from everything: Gordes in 10 minutes, the Coustellet farmers' market nearby, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and its antique dealers in 15 minutes, plus Roussillon, Ménerbes and Bonnieux for long terrace lunches. Avignon TGV station is about 40 minutes away (direct trains from Paris in 2h40).
